Chapter 7 - THE BREAKFAST RECORDING
Claire had forgotten the kitchen camera.
Sullivan installed it months earlier to watch the back door.
It recorded sound.
When police later reviewed the medication complaint and the civil attorneys preserved household data, the breakfast footage became part of the record.
Philippa screaming:
GET UP! I WANT BREAKFAST BY SIX!
Claire saying:
I just had surgery.
Sullivan replying:
Just make the damn breakfast.
Then the most important part.
Claire holding the bottle above the food.
Stopping.
Turning the label outward.
Asking:
Did you know?
And Philippa saying:
I gave you something to calm down.
No poisoning.
No ambiguity.
Just an exhausted woman reaching the edge of rage and deciding not to cross it.
Naomi told Claire:
“That matters.”
Claire looked at the paused frame.
“I almost did something terrible.”
“But you didn’t.”
“I wanted them scared.”
“That is not the same as harming them.”
Claire looked at Aloan.
“No. But it tells me how far gone I was.”
The video helped establish coercive behavior.
Maya Roth’s records established Claire’s actual medical condition.
Bellmere’s documents established the false incapacity narrative.
The medication bottle established unauthorized administration of someone else’s prescription.
No single piece told the whole story.
Together they did.
Philippa’s attorney eventually advised her to stop claiming Claire was unstable.
The claim had become dangerous.
