She called it concern.

But legally, he needed board approval and trust-court consent.
The next morning’s meeting became decisive.
Before the vote, Clara made one request.
“I want to attend.”
Julian hesitated.
Not because he doubted her.

The removal vote failed.

The title documents were timestamped before the pregnancy disclosure.

Julian’s face hardened.
“You used Clara as bait.”
“I ensured physical security.”
“You watched her cry.”
“Yes.”
“And waited.”
“Yes.”
Clara spoke from the screen.
“You could have stopped it.”
“Yes.”
“Why didn’t you?”
“Because the court needed completed conduct.”
Again.
Evidence purchased with someone else’s dignity.
Julian suspended Marcus immediately.
The kitchen recording remained valid.
But trust shattered.
