Chapter 8 - WHAT WAS INSIDE THE SPORTS CAR
The sports car explosion remained strange.
Investigators eventually traced it to a fire inside the rear compartment.
No bomb.
No device triggered by Evelyn.
Tyler had been transporting illegal pyrotechnic signal charges used in a previous staged “security demonstration” for one of his private events.
Stored improperly near a modified battery system.
The panic protocol triggered the mansion’s exterior security response.
Part of that response remotely immobilized registered vehicles near the entrance.
The abrupt electrical shutdown caused a fault in Tyler’s unauthorized modification.
Then fire.
Then rupture.
Evelyn had not known the car would explode.
When she pressed the necklace, she intended to summon police and freeze digital access.
The explosion simply opened the compartment Tyler most wanted hidden.
Cash.
Phones.
Gun.
Photographs.
His own careless equipment exposed him.
That was why Evelyn later said:
I let you expose yourself.

She had not planted anything.
She had watched long enough to understand Tyler always carried too much evidence of his own arrogance.
