The night before the dining-room collapse, Elena found an email printed in Elliot’s study.
Not hidden.
Misplaced.
From Northshore.
If title documentation is executed tomorrow, we can preserve the current option economics through month-end.
Tomorrow.
Elena read it twice.
Another page contained talking points.
Elena health concern.
Family transfer.
Need clean execution.
Avoid delay.
She photographed both pages and sent them to Marissa.
Then asked one question:
“If he tries to force a signature, what matters?”
Marissa answered:
“Do not sign. Get safe. Preserve what happens.”
No instruction to trap Elliot.
No instruction to poison anyone.
No revenge.
Elena still decided she would not flee before she understood how far he intended to go.
That choice was risky.
Later she admitted it.
