During Richard’s post-surgery recovery, Amber filmed short family videos.
At first harmless.
Richard tasting soup.
Richard walking with a cane.
Caleb helping him into a chair.
Amber captioned them privately for the marketing team as:
THE FOUNDER COMES HOME.
Richard approved two.
Then one appeared in a private licensing presentation without his approval.
In it, Richard paused before remembering the name of a spice blend.
A normal hesitation.
Amber’s slide described:
THE NEXT GENERATION STEPS FORWARD AS RICHARD ENTERS A QUIETER CHAPTER.
Richard was furious.
“I did not approve that.”
Amber said:
“It tested beautifully.”
“I don’t care.”
“You’re overreacting.”
“Take it out.”
Caleb promised he would.
He did not.
The deck changed slightly.
The idea remained.
Richard recovering.
Caleb inheriting leadership.
