Chapter 4 - WHY TYLER NEEDED TWELVE MILLION DOLLARS

Tyler had told everyone Hale Meridian Ventures was thriving.

It wasn’t.

The company developed luxury residential towers.

Two projects were over budget.

One lender had frozen additional advances.

Another had threatened to call a personal guarantee.

Tyler needed $12 million within ten days.

He could not raise it openly without admitting the company was in trouble.

So he looked at Madison’s trust.

Sienna helped.

Emails showed the progression.

Tyler:

Once we’re married, the bank won’t question spouse authority.

Sienna:

Only if she signs.

Tyler:

She signs everything I put in front of her.

Sienna:

And if she doesn’t?

Tyler:

Then we use the digital package.

Madison read that message six times.

Then one more.

Sienna:

You really think she won’t notice?

Tyler:

She thinks the honeymoon is romantic.

Madison did not cancel the wedding.

That decision shocked Mara.

“Why?”

“Because I want to see how far he goes.”

Mara stared at her.

“That is emotionally dangerous.”

“I know.”

“Legally, we can stop the transfer now.”

“Do that.”

“We will.”

“But don’t tell him.”

Mara understood.

Madison wanted proof of intent.

Not revenge.

Proof.
