Chapter 9 - SIENNA FINALLY TELLS THE TRUTH

Sienna contacted Madison four months later.
Through lawyers.
She wanted a settlement.
Her employment had ended.
Tyler blamed her for the documentation trail.
She had something useful.
Text messages Tyler ordered her to delete.
She had backed them up.
Why?
“At first because I didn’t trust him.”
Madison almost smiled.
“Smart.”
Sienna looked ashamed.
“Not smart enough.”
The messages confirmed:
Tyler planned the trust access before marriage.
He expected Madison not to read documents.
He intended to hide the bridge loan among travel and resort papers.
And he planned to tell Madison about his relationship with Sienna only after the financing closed.
One message:
Sienna:
What happens when she finds out about us?
Tyler:
By then the money is funded.
Sienna:
That’s cold.
Tyler:
That’s timing.
Madison read it once.
Then closed the file.
Sienna whispered:
“I thought he loved me.”
Madison looked at her.
“Maybe he did.”
Sienna seemed surprised.
Madison continued.
May you like
“People can love you and still use you.”
That was the lesson neither woman wanted.
