Chapter 6 - THE DOCTOR LETTER

Dr. Hale existed.
He was not Chloe’s doctor.
He ran a concierge medical practice used by Richard’s business partners.
When investigators contacted him, he denied evaluating Chloe.
Then he saw the letter.
His signature was real.
His conclusion was not.
He had signed a blank medical-attestation page as part of a template packet Richard’s insurance consultant sent months earlier.
Reckless.
Irresponsible.
Not proof he knew the final purpose.
The completed language had been added afterward.
Metadata pointed to Richard’s office administrator.
She said Richard dictated the paragraph.
He told her:
“It’s for contingency planning.”
She believed him.
