Chapter 9 - ANDREW FINDS THE EMAILS
Andrew had access to Linda’s old family email account because he helped manage her technology.
He did not simply open it.
Rachel warned him not to go fishing through private communications.
Instead, during discovery, Linda produced responsive emails.
One thread stood out.
Subject:
MIA TRANSITION CONCERNS.
Linda to attorney:
If Paula moves, Andrew will follow because he is weak with her.
Then:
Mia needs one stable adult who will not uproot her.
Attorney:
Courts generally defer to fit parents. Grandparent rights are limited. Focus on existing relationship, not attacking parents.
Linda:
Then I need evidence that Paula cannot handle her.
Attorney:
Do not manufacture evidence.
Important.
The lawyer had warned her.
Then Linda wrote to her sister:
If Paula keeps failing, I may be the only person who can stop this move.
A month later:
I should document every time she leaves Mia with me.
Then:
Andrew will thank me eventually.
Andrew stared.
This was not a plan to kidnap Mia.
Not even a strong legal plan.
It was something more emotionally familiar.
