Tyler’s weak.
Your mom controls you.
Ryan obeyed more than he admitted.
Claire read the private messages with growing horror.
NorthHallAdmin seemed to know family details.
Emma’s surgery date.
Claire’s work hours.
Daniel living in Arizona.
Mark’s first name.
It told Ryan:
You’re invisible in that house now.
Ryan replied:
Pretty much.
The account:
Then stop asking permission.
Claire felt a familiar chill.
Ryan’s resentment had been noticed.

Then the account encouraged him to create the external fundraiser link.
Ryan said Tyler suggested it.
True.
But NorthHallAdmin helped configure it.
Later, when the money went missing, the account told Ryan:
Don’t panic. I can fix it.
Then:
Use your sister’s tablet if they lock you out.
Claire stared at that line.
The attack on Emma was not planned by the anonymous user.
But the account had directed Ryan toward her device.
Then Ryan admitted:
“I thought if I could get into the portal, I could change the link back and prove I didn’t steal it.”
“Why didn’t you tell an adult?”
“Because the account said adults would blame me anyway.”
“Did you believe that?”
Ryan looked at Claire.
“Yes.”
That hurt.
Then the school investigator traced NorthHallAdmin through an old login token.
The account had been created from a device connected to the Carter home Wi-Fi.
Claire stared.
“Someone in my house?”
Not necessarily.
Guest Wi-Fi.
Old device.
Neighbor range.
Then the device identifier appeared.
APPLE-TV-LIVINGROOM.
Claire frowned.
“You can’t create a chat account from an Apple TV.”
The investigator agreed.
The device name had been spoofed.
Someone wanted the login to look like it came from Claire’s home.
That required technical knowledge.
Then they traced another token.
Same account.
Different device.
A high school Chromebook.
Serial number assigned to:
Ava Miller.
The bullied girl.
Ryan stared.
“No.”
Ava had been one of the targets.
Could she have been NorthHallAdmin?
The school contacted her family.
Ava cried when confronted.
Then said:
“I didn’t make that account.”
Her Chromebook had been missing for three days earlier in the semester.
She had reported it.
The school had replaced it.
