North & Reese reopened its internal review after seeing drafts recovered from Ethan’s archive.
The company issued Claire a written statement:
Prior allegations used in promotion review are now considered unreliable.
They did not offer millions.
They paid:
a modest settlement,
legal fees,
and corrected part of her personnel record.
More important to Claire:
the old shame lost authority.
