The most dangerous evidence was not fake paperwork.
It was a real video.

That made the custody file dangerous.
Michael watched the old video.
His face burned with shame.

Lewis nodded.
“Did you hit Lauren?”

“Emily?”

“Was punching the wall okay?”

Good.
Michael did not hide.
That helped.
Then he called his anger-management counselor from three years earlier.
Yes.

Lauren knew.
