Chapter 10 - THE MEDICATION PROBLEM GETS WORSE
The pill organizer was examined.
Pharmacy records showed prescriptions.
But one drug bottle did not belong to Curtis.
The sleep medication was prescribed to Nathan.
Same last name.
Same pharmacy.
How did it get into Curtis’s organizer?
Nathan said:
“Accident.”
He had brought both medication bags when staying overnight.
Mixed bottles.
Possible.
Then dosage.
Curtis had taken the sleep medication three nights in one week.
Rachel asked Nathan:
“Did you know?”
“No.”
“Did you see him confused?”
“Yes.”
“Did you still take him to sign POA papers?”
Nathan went silent.
There.
That was the sharper issue.
Maybe Nathan did not intentionally drug Curtis.
No evidence he secretly dosed him.
But he knew confusion existed.
