Charlotte’s partial cooperation,
the belt recovered from the bedroom,
and Sabrina’s contemporaneous statements.
Gavin’s defense emphasized:

no hospitalization,
marital conflict,
and Sabrina’s delay in reporting earlier incidents.
The prosecutor answered:
Delay does not make bruises imaginary.
Sabrina gave a detailed statement.

No decades.

That consequence hurt more than jail.
His identity was competence.
