Chapter 7 - GAVIN'S STORY

Gavin told police the belt strikes were consensual “discipline during a heated argument.”

Sabrina stared at the report when Rachel showed her.

“What does that even mean?”

Rachel said:

“It means he is trying to create ambiguity around intent.”

Gavin also claimed Sabrina attacked Charlotte’s car.

No security footage showed her doing it.

Garage records placed the car at Charlotte’s apartment overnight before the scratch was discovered.

A building camera showed Charlotte parking too close to a concrete column.

It did not show the actual scrape clearly.

But it weakened the accusation.

Then investigators found a text from Charlotte to Gavin:

I think I clipped the garage.

Gavin replied:

Don’t worry. She’ll pay.

Sabrina read it twice.

The scratch had never been hers.

It was leverage.

Charlotte later claimed Gavin meant Sabrina would pay because Sabrina owned the company.

Possible.

Then another text:

Use the car thing. She’s already scared of you.

That changed the tone.

Charlotte did not tell Gavin to beat Sabrina.

She did understand fear was part of the strategy.

That mattered.
