Chapter 2 - CHOOSE RIGHT NOW
Sophia grabbed Emily by the hair.
Emily screamed.
Then her face hit the pool water.
Cold shock.
Panic.
Sophia yanked her back up.
“YOU STOLE MY HUSBAND!”
Emily gasped.
“Sophia—”
Sophia shoved her underwater again.
Emily grabbed the edge.
“STOP! JUST LISTEN TO ME!”
Sophia pulled her up.
Slapped her hard.
“I DON’T LISTEN TO A HOMEWRECKER!”
Emily caught her wrist.
“He came to ME!”
Sophia froze.
Only for a second.
Then Ryan rushed from the mansion.
“SOPHIA! STOP!”
Sophia turned.
Crying now.
“Choose. RIGHT NOW.”
Ryan went pale.
Emily stepped away from the pool.
Wet hair.
White dress clinging to her.
“Tell her the truth.”
Ryan looked at Emily.
Then Sophia.
He opened his mouth.
“Sophia, please listen to me?”
Sophia stared.
“What?”
Ryan did not choose.
Instead he said:
“This isn’t about Emily.”
Emily went still.
Sophia laughed in disbelief.
“You kissed my sister.”
“Yes.”
“Then what the hell is it about?”
Ryan looked toward the mansion.
Not at either woman.
Then:
“The trust.”
Sophia stopped breathing.
Emily stared.
