Chapter 10 - THE FORM SARAH ALMOST SIGNED
Three days before the patio incident, Rachel had placed a form on Sarah’s desk.
Final adoption consent confirmation.
Sarah had not signed.
Not refusal.
Delay.
She told Rachel:
“I want to talk after the weekend.”
Rachel interpreted that as danger.
A text to her sister showed it.
RACHEL:
Sarah is getting cold feet.
SISTER:
About you or the adoption?
RACHEL:
