Sarah found folded paper inside Emily’s backpack.

TELL THE SIMPLE VERSION.
FAMILY PROBLEMS STAY IN FAMILY.
Sarah sat on the bedroom floor reading them.
Emily appeared in the doorway.
“Am I in trouble?”
Sarah looked up.
“No.”
“Rachel said those are good rules.”
Sarah held out the paper.
“Some are not.”
Emily pointed to one.
“Which?”
Sarah touched:
DON’T MAKE MOM WORRY.
“That one.”
Emily looked confused.
Sarah said:
“You’re allowed to tell me when something is wrong, even if it worries me.”
Emily started crying.
