The disability claim became the strongest fraud evidence.
Richard submitted it after the hospital incident.
From jail? He was released pending case with restrictions. Through business administrator.
He claimed Emily became unable to perform:
lifting,
site inspections,
crew supervision,
and vehicle operation.
All fake duties.
Then the insurer called Emily.
Direct verification.
She answered.
“Do you work for Cole Property Services?”
“No.”
Claim frozen.
Then:
criminal referral.
Richard’s attorney said the claim submission was automated and based on existing company records.

Then email from Richard to accountant:
If Emily is out long enough, policy finally pays for itself.
Finally.
Meaning he knew.
Another:
Need her signature before she gets suspicious again.
That destroyed automation defense.
Then Emily asked:
“Again?”
Lewis found earlier insurance paperwork Emily had questioned months ago.

“benefits coordination.”
