Elena started as a housekeeper.
Over eleven years, she became the person who knew the Caldwell house better than anyone.
She knew which silver belonged to Catherine’s mother, which paintings were loans, which jewelry belonged to Clara and Lily, and which pieces were in off-site storage.
After Catherine died, Elena helped Arthur build a household inventory.

Serial numbers.
Appraisals.
Storage locations.
Seraphina discovered the spreadsheet while helping plan renovations before the wedding.
She immediately said:

Then she suggested moving several high-value items to a private storage company owned by her brother, Julian Blake.

Arthur said:
