The draft passed through:
Rachel’s office,
Adrian’s counsel,
financial counsel,
Adrian himself.
Then final PDF created on a laptop assigned to Adrian’s chief of staff, Monica Hale.
Monica testified.
Adrian asked her to “clean up the formatting.”
She changed page numbering.
Not language.
Then audit logs showed:
a second user session under Adrian’s credentials.
Page fourteen replaced.
Initial image inserted.
Adrian denied doing it.
Could credentials be shared?
Yes.
Then security footage from his home office showed Adrian at the computer during the exact fifteen-minute window.
Not screen content.
But location.
His attorney argued:
being at computer does not prove edit.
True.
Then metadata.
The inserted initial image came from a scan stored in Adrian’s personal folder:
CLAIRE-SIGNATURES.
That folder contained:
passport signature,
old tax signature,
contract initials,
medical forms.
Why collect them?
Adrian said:
administrative convenience.
Rachel asked:
“Convenience for whom?”
Then another file:
C_INITIAL_P14.png.
Created eight minutes before the modified settlement.
The evidence became hard to explain.
