Her statement.
Ethan’s admissions.
Robert’s statement.
Household messages.
Mrs. Greene’s observation immediately after.
No need to turn every family cruelty into a separate crime.
Linda faced consequences appropriate to:
assaultive conduct,
domestic violence where applicable,
and related endangerment.
Custodial component.
Probation.
No-contact order.
Mandatory intervention.
Ethan faced separate legal and family-court consequences tied to:
failure to assist,
coercive control evidence where recognized,
and his role in blocking autonomy.
Some conduct was morally worse than what criminal law could cleanly charge.
