The bank trustee reviewed everything.
Could Lucas or Rachel use Maisie’s $4.6 million trust to fund the custody war?
Limited amounts only for Maisie’s direct legal protection.
Not parents’ general divorce fees.
Good.
Then the housing clause.
Elaine had misunderstood it.
If Rachel became primary custodian, trust funds could support Maisie’s housing needs.
But the trustee retained discretion.
Rachel could not simply buy a mansion with trust money.
If Lucas became primary custodian, same rule.
No winner took the money.
The trust followed Maisie.
That mattered.
Elaine had helped create a crime-risk situation over power she never actually understood.

Remaining local was another.
Shared custody was still under discussion.
