Marcus refused to pay Victoria’s liability.
She called that betrayal.
He called it consequence.
Then divorce proceedings began.
No dramatic “lose everything.”
Prenup existed.
Victoria kept:
her premarital assets,
her business,
certain marital property rights.
Marcus kept:
his premarital company interests,
family holdings,
the mansion subject to title structure.
Leo’s finances remained separate.
The assault case proceeded independently.
Victoria’s attorney negotiated:
civil settlement with Elena,
no-contact provisions,
and criminal resolution depending on jurisdiction.
Elena did not become rich.
She received:
medical costs,
lost professional income,
documented reputational damages,
and settlement compensation.
Reasonable.
Then Maison Petit’s board asked Marcus if Leo could participate in a future campaign under proper consent.
He stared at them.
“No.”
