The child-welfare investigation was separate.
The strongest concerns were not:
dirty clothes,
one spilled bottle,
temporary frustration.
They were:
food restriction during inspections,
physical dragging,
repeated concealment,
forcing children to stay quiet in the laundry room,
Ava’s fear of being removed from home.
Patricia insisted:
“I never starved them.”
Medical records supported normal growth.
True.
She insisted:
“They always had food.”
Mostly true.
But Ava had learned not to ask at the wrong time.
That mattered.
Child welfare found:
inappropriate coercive discipline,
emotional intimidation,
physical handling beyond reasonable redirection.
Temporary order:
Patricia had no unsupervised contact.
