Claire’s letter.

Behavior logs.

Ryan’s texts.

Claire’s texts.

Trust structure.

Therapy notes.

The judge asked Evelyn:

“What is quiet containment?”

Evelyn answered:

“A calm-down technique.”

“In a freezer?”

“Not normally.”

“How many enclosed spaces did you use?”

Evelyn hesitated.

“Several.”

“What spaces?”

“Laundry room. Pantry. Garage.”

“Locked?”

“Sometimes.”

The judge’s face hardened.

Then:

“Did any clinician recommend this?”

“No.”

“Did you disclose it to Ryan?”

“No.”

“Why?”

“He undermines discipline.”

There.

Then the judge asked:

“Did you use Lily’s anxiety as evidence that Ryan’s home was unstable?”

Evelyn said:

“I documented what I observed.”

“Did you consider that your own discipline might be contributing?”

Silence.

No answer.

Temporary ruling:

Evelyn no contact.

Ryan retains custody.

Independent trust co-trustee strengthened.

Ryan completes anger-management and parenting work.

Guardian ad litem monitors Lily’s recovery.
