Chapter 12 - GABRIEL'S PLAN

Gabriel Shaw had spent years managing wealthy families.

He understood something about fear.

People accepted extraordinary fees during emergencies.

If Ethan’s trust activated the relocation clause:

Gabriel’s firm would handle emergency court filings.

Haven Shield would coordinate security.

A private residence would be leased.

Consultants would be retained.

Projected professional fees across the first year:

more than $1.4 million.

Not all Gabriel’s.

But enough.

More importantly, Gabriel would become essential.

His messages to Mason were recovered after investigators cracked an encrypted backup.

GABRIEL:

The event must be medical, not theatrical.

MASON:

He is a child.

GABRIEL:

The dose is designed to create hospitalization, not death.

MASON:

That isn't a guarantee.

GABRIEL:

Nothing is.

The room went silent when Dominic read that.

There was no romantic motive.

No mafia war.

No revenge against a rival family.

It was colder.

Gabriel planned to manufacture the exact emergency the trust was designed to respond to.

Then profit from solving it.
