Three weeks before the birthday, Dominic had received an internal security report.
Threat level against the family had increased.
Not because of a rival war.
Because federal investigators had seized records from a shipping contractor connected to Moretti Strategic Logistics.
Dominic claimed his legitimate companies were separate from criminal operations.
Authorities were not convinced.
Elena’s trust considered legal exposure part of Ethan’s risk environment.
Dominic had not told Sofia.
He had not told the trustee.
Why?
Because if the trust learned the risk level increased, relocation review might begin even without an attack.
Grace confronted him.
“You hid it.”
“I handled it.”
