Chapter 11 - TYLER'S REAL MOTIVE

Tyler’s lender application had not been an attempt to steal the entire house.
That mattered.
He wanted a $220,000 business consolidation loan.
The house was meant to strengthen the application.
He believed family equity should help family business.
His logic:
Claire had more than enough.
The house appreciated because everyone maintained it.
His business employed six people.
If it failed, six families suffered.
Not pure greed.
But he never asked Claire.
That was the line.
Tyler said:
“You would’ve said no.”
Claire answered:
“Yes.”
“That’s why I didn’t ask.”

Silence.
He finally understood how bad that sounded.
