Rachel installed no hidden illegal surveillance.
The red barn already had a farm security camera.
It covered:
main door,
equipment bay,
part of the gravel yard.
Rachel reviewed footage.
She found Diane yelling at Emma.
Not striking her.
But repeatedly forcing the child to redo chores.
One clip:
Emma carried a light feed scoop.
Dropped some pellets.
Diane pointed.
“Pick every one up.”
Emma crouched.
Diane said:
“Your mother has enough problems without you being one.”
Emma cried quietly.
Diane walked away.
Rachel watched the clip three times.
Then sent it to Megan Holt.
Megan replied:
Document. Do not confront yet.

Rachel hated that advice.
It was still good advice.
