At the gala, Maya did not reveal every detail.
She did not need to.
She placed the sealed DNA report on the podium.
Then the audit.
Marcus whispered:

Maya looked at him.
“You chose here.”
The ballroom was full of:
clients,
partners,
board members,
family,
senior staff.
She opened the report.
“Independent DNA testing confirms Charles Kincaid was my biological father.”
Murmurs.
Then the audit.
“And the $450,000 trust distribution you called ‘litigation reserve’?”
Marcus went still.
Maya continued:
“More than three hundred thousand dollars is currently classified as unsupported, excessive, duplicated, or paid through undisclosed related-party vendors.”
